PRABUMULIH, – Kabar gembira berhembus bagi bagi masyarakat tidak mampu di Kota Prabumulih, yang namanya tidak tercantum dalam daftar nama keluarga penerima manfaat (KPM) bantuan cadangan pangan pemerintah (BCP) berupa beras tahun anggaran 2023.
Pasalnya, saat ini pemerintah kota (pemkot) Prabumulih berencana memberikan bantuan beras bagi mereka yang tidak masuk dalam daftar nama penerima BCP tersebut. Hal itu diungkapkan, Pj Walikota Prabumulih, H Elman ST MM.
Menurut Elman, saat ini pemkot Prabumulih melalui dinas ketahanan pangan (DKP) tengah melakukan pendataan terhadap masyarakat tidak mampu yang tidak tercantum dalam penerima BCP beras tersebut.
“Semuanya kita pikirkan, saat ini kita sedang mendata untuk bulan November Pemkot Prabumulih Bakal Bagikan 20 Ton beras bagi Masyarakat tidak mampu, siapa saja yang layak mendapatkan beras cadangan pemerintah daerah yang disimpan di Bulog Sumatera Selatan,” ungkap Elman ketika diwawancarai usai menyerahkan BCP beras kepada masyarakat Kelurahan Sindur, Kamis (12/10/2023) lalu.
Ditanya mengenai berapa banyak bantuan beras yang akan diberikan nantinya, Elman menuturkan saat ini pihaknya masih melakukan pendataan.
“Nanti berapa jumlah penerima dan berapa banyak bantuan yang diberikan baru bisa kita utarakan setelah pendataan selesai,” tuturnya.
Sementara, Kepala Dinas Ketahanan Pangan (DKP) Kota Prabumulih, Suranti SP menambahkan saat ini cadangan beras kota Prabumulih yang disimpan di Bulog jumlahnya 20 ton.
“Beras inilah yang nantinya akan dibagikan kepada yang berhak menerimanya,” kata Suranti.
Masih kata Suranti, pemberian bantuan beras cadangan pangan daerah tersebut rencananya akan dilaksanakan pada awal November 2023 mendatang.
“Setelah pendataan selesai, baru kita salurkan kepada yang berhak menerimanya,” imbuhnya.
Sementara, ketika ditanya mengenai cadangan beras Kota Prabumulih Suranti menuturkan, stok beras cadangan pangan Kota Prabumulih masih tersedia dan cukup hingga Desember 2023 mendatang.
“Kebutuhan masyarakat kota Prabumulih itu sebanyak 446 ton per bulan, kalau dikali tiga bulan berarti 1.338 ton dan stok itu aman,” kata Suranti.
Diberitakan sebelumnya, Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Prabumulih melalui Dinas Ketahanan Pangan (DKP), kembali membagikan cadangan pangan berupa beras.
Pembagian beras cadangan pangan tersebut, secara simbolis diserahkan oleh Pj Walikota Prabumulih, H Elman ST MM kepada warga Kelurahan Sindur Kecamatan Cambai, di kantor lurah Kelurahan Sindur, Kamis (12/10).
Pj Walikota Prabumulih, H Elman ST MM mengatakan masyarakat yang menerima bantuan beras cadangan pangan berjumlah 10.446 keluarga penerima manfaat (KPM).
“KPM penerima manfaat ini tersebar di 6 kecamatan yang ada di Kota Prabumulih, tiap-tiap KPM menerima bantuan 1 karung beras seberat 10 kilogram,” ungkap H Elman ketika diwawancarai usai acara penyerahan bantuan cadangan pangan, di kantor lurah Sindur.
Dijelaskan Elman, tujuan pemerintah memberikan bantuan cadangan pangan yakni untuk mengurangi beban pengeluaran penerima bantuan pangan dan sebagai upaya untuk menangani kerawanan pangan, kemiskinan, stunting dan gizi buruk, keadaan darurat.
“Selain itu, bantuan cadangan pangan juga bertujuan melindungi produsen dan konsumen serta mengendalikan dampak dari inflasi dan fluktuasi harga,” bebernya. (*)
